Double Dragon is a classic 1988 beat ’em up for the Sega Master System in which martial-arts brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee battle through dangerous city streets to rescue Marian from the Black Warriors gang. Players punch, kick and use weapons dropped by enemies while progressing through four missions filled with street thugs, environmental hazards and powerful bosses. Unlike the NES version, the Master System port supports simultaneous two-player cooperative play, making it a closer recreation of the original arcade experience despite some graphical and gameplay differences. With its memorable action, challenging difficulty and satisfying cooperative combat, Double Dragon remains one of the most recognisable fighting games on the system. SegaMS
