Ecks vs. Based loosely on the characters and concept that would later appear in the film Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, the game lets players choose between FBI agent Jonathan Ecks and assassin Sever, with each character following a different campaign and mission path. Gameplay involves navigating maze-like 3D environments, collecting weapons and ammunition, eliminating enemy soldiers, finding key items, and completing objectives while managing limited health. Despite the GBA’s hardware limitations, Ecks vs. Sever delivers surprisingly ambitious 3D visuals and fast-paced shooting, making it an interesting technical achievement and one of the more memorable FPS titles released for the system.
