Ecks vs. Sever II: Ballistic is a 2002 first-person shooter for the Game Boy Advance and the follow-up to the original Ecks vs. Sever, once again featuring FBI agent Jonathan Ecks and assassin Sever in separate campaigns. Inspired by the film Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, the game expands on its predecessor with larger environments, additional weapons, more varied objectives, and improved visuals while retaining the impressive pseudo-3D engine that made the first game stand out on the handheld. Players explore military bases, city areas, and other hostile locations while battling armed enemies, collecting ammunition and health, and completing mission-specific tasks. Although naturally limited compared with console FPS games of the era, Ecks vs. Sever II: Ballistic remains one of the more technically ambitious shooters on the GBA and is an interesting choice for fans of portable first-person action.
