Metroid 1
Le jeu
Metroid for the NES is a landmark sci-fi action-adventure game that helped shape the idea of exploring one large connected world instead of simply clearing separate stages. Players control Samus Aran as she investigates the dangerous planet Zebes, collecting upgrades like missiles, energy tanks, the Morph Ball, and new beam abilities to reach areas that were previously inaccessible. What makes Metroid memorable is its lonely atmosphere, maze-like design, hidden secrets, and sense of mystery, where progress comes from both survival and exploration. It can feel confusing by modern standards because of the lack of an in-game map, but that also gives the game its raw 8-bit identity. Even today, Metroid remains important because it introduced the foundation for one of gaming’s most influential exploration-based formulas. NES
