Touhou Mother is a fan-made RPG that blends the colorful characters and setting of Touhou Project with the quirky style, humor, and turn-based gameplay of the Mother/EarthBound series. Created in RPG Maker 2000, the adventure begins when Reimu and Marisa investigate a mysterious meteorite that crashes into Gensokyo, eventually drawing them into a strange journey involving familiar Touhou faces, characters from Mother, aliens, and plenty of unexpected references. Battles use a traditional party-based turn system inspired by Mother 2 and Mother 3, while exploration, dialogue, bizarre comedy, and an increasingly unusual story give the game the charmingly unpredictable personality that makes this crossover memorable.
