Vigilante for the Sega Master System is a side-scrolling beat ’em up that puts players in the role of a lone fighter battling through gangs of street thugs to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend, Madonna. Armed mainly with punches, kicks, and occasional weapons such as nunchaku, players must push through waves of enemies while dealing with tougher opponents and bosses at the end of each stage. The Master System version retains the straightforward arcade action and urban setting of the original, offering fast-paced combat that relies on timing, positioning, and quick reactions. With its simple controls, relentless enemy attacks, and classic 1980s arcade atmosphere, Vigilante delivers an old-school brawler experience that fits well within the Sega Master System library.
