Witchaven II: Blood Vengeance for DOS continues the dark fantasy first-person action style of the original game, once again placing players in a brutal medieval world filled with monsters, magic, traps, and close-range combat. The sequel keeps the same general formula of sword fighting, spellcasting, exploration, and dungeon-like level design, but pushes the action further with new enemies, tougher encounters, and a stronger sense of revenge-driven adventure. Like the first Witchaven, it stands apart from many DOS shooters because it focuses more on melee weapons and fantasy combat rather than firearms, giving it a rough but distinctive identity.
